Amber McLeod

Advisor

Amber is a proud Métis professional from Alberta who is passionate about fostering strong, trust-based relationships and creating lasting value for clients. With a background in marketing and analytics, she has collaborated with Canadian businesses and non-profits to design data-driven strategies that enhance visibility, optimize performance, and helped them to develop strategic plans for measurable growth.

Holding a Bachelor of Commerce in Natural Resources, Energy, and Environment with a minor in Strategic Management from the University of Alberta, Amber combines business insight with an understanding of sustainability and policy. She is also a graduate of the University of Alberta’s Indigenous Canada course, which deepened her knowledge of Indigenous governance, Treaty relationships, and community-led economic development.

Amber is especially passionate about supporting Indigenous and women-led businesses in building sustainable, impact-focused ventures and helping them to grow in the digital space. Her areas of interest include MMIWG, Indigenous business development, habitat protection, clean water initiatives, Indigenous food sovereignty, and land-based projects. Amber believes that business and community must grow together - with empathy, accountability, and respect at the core of every decision. She deeply values Mokwateh’s work blending Indigenous knowledge with economic development, and sees this approach as essential to building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
