Ben Morley

Senior Consultant

Ben Morley is a Senior Consultant at Mokwateh, bringing over a decade of experience in policy development, data analysis, research and project management. Ben's data-driven approach and experience across finance, public transportation/infrastructure and government helps develop practical and informed advice to Indigenous, corporate and government clients.

Prior to joining Mokwateh, Ben worked for the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) leading on trade and economic policy for Western Canada. He led engagement with provincial governments during the UK's Free Trade Agreement and CPTPP accession negotiations. He led several initiatives educating UK businesses on the Indigenous policy landscape in Canada, particularly in the mining sector. He delivered the UK's first-of-its-kind policy mission bringing Indigenous thought leaders from across Canada to the UK to engage with government and industry - cementing the benefits of creating forums for meaningful face-to-face engagement. Before that he worked as a project management specialist for TransLink, helping develop data-informed processes, procedures and tools supporting the delivery of their $3bn portfolio of capital projects. Prior to moving to Canada in 2018, Ben worked for the Bank of England as a policy analyst, supporting the delivery of monetary and financial stability policy, developing monetary policy instruments and conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of financial markets.

Originally from Reading in England, Ben now resides in Vancouver, British Columbia. Outside of work he enjoys training, coaching and racing road, trail and ultra-distance running, as well as cooking, gardening and (novice) bird watching. A strong believer in community, Ben volunteers time leading group runs, organizing community events and serving on his community garden board. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Surrey.
