Jordan Peterson is the Founder and Principal of Affinity North, an Indigenous-owned consulting firm based in Whitehorse, Yukon. With more than a decade of hands-on experience, Jordan brings together political insight and technical acumen to support Indigenous governments, businesses, and public-sector partners in advancing work that respects Indigenous rights, interests, and title. Known for careful analysis, attention to detail, and steady negotiation, Jordan helps parties navigate complex decisions with clarity and accountability.

Jordan previously served as Deputy Grand Chief (DGC) of the Gwich'in Tribal Council (GTC), where he spearheaded economic development initiatives, strengthened intergovernmental relations, and served as the Gwich'in Nation's chief negotiator. As Co-Chair of the Gwich'in Council International (GCI), he helped advance circumpolar Indigenous collaboration through the Arctic Council, championing projects such as the Arctic Remote Energy Networks Academy and related toolkits on energy, environmental impact assessment, and wildland fire.

At Affinity North, Jordan guides clients through complex negotiations, policy, governance, and strategic planning processes, helping organizations align decisions with Indigenous values and community priorities. Jordan was also the visionary and chief negotiator behind the Gwich'in Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement Treaty Modernization Team (GCLCATMT), whose work was recognized with the 2019-2020 Premier's Award for Excellence.

Grounded in his Gwich'in heritage and a deep commitment to community, culture, and future generations, Jordan brings a pragmatic, relationship-first approach to building sustainable partnerships and shared prosperity.
