Katarina Savic

MES
Director, Advisory Services

Katarina Savic is the Director, Advisory Services at Mokwateh, specializing in Indigenous procurement, business relations, and net-zero transition planning. She brings 6+ years of experience in project management, policy development, and meaningful Indigenous engagement.

One of the highlights of Katarina’s career was when she visited more than 30 First Nation communities across urban, rural and remote parts of Canada to interview elected leadership and Economic Development Corporations while working at the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB). During her time at CCAB, Katarina strengthened her understanding of Indigenous economic development and the importance of collaboration with industry and government to achieve our shared goals. Katarina led many projects on Indigenous procurement, trade and export, industry specific studies, and more. She then worked at the Pembina Institute in the Renewables in Remote Communities team advocating for policies to support off grid, diesel dependent communities transition to clean, Indigenous-led solutions.

Katarina completed her Master of Environmental Studies specializing in Urban-Regional Planning and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Business from York University.
