She brings nearly a decade of executive-level experience successfully integrating sustainable technologies, advanced biomaterials, regenerative agriculture, and community-led housing solutions into Indigenous-driven development strategies.
Zaffia’s expertise spans biotechnology, clean technology commercialization, sustainable infrastructure, and large-scale program design. She excels at leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, working with Indigenous governments, industry, academia, and public sector partners to bridge economic opportunity with long-term sovereignty, land stewardship, and cultural alignment. Recognized as one of Canada’s Top 30 Under 30 Sustainability Leaders, Zaffia has shared her insights at the United Nations, national innovation forums, and global technology communities. Her impactful efforts continue to support Indigenous communities worldwide in designing and implementing long-term strategies that align economic prosperity, environmental stewardship, and community well-being for future generations.
Zaffia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and Social Entrepreneurship from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Diploma in Indigenous Business Leadership from Melbourne Business School and a Diploma in Indigenous Entrepreneurship from the University of Waterloo.
